THEFTS -- Video games and equipment belonging to Arnold Ronald Albert were taken from 1510 Pawnee between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday; $540 loss.

n A check from Great Plains Federal Credit Union written to Wade Paulson was taken from the credit union office at 605 S. Ohio between 8 a.m. July 7 and 5 p.m. July 17; $3,950 loss.

Hydrant flushing

The city of Salina will flush fire hydrants today in the area bound on the north by Cloud Street, on the south by Otto Avenue, on the west by the railroad tracks and on the east by South Ninth Street.

Water in the area might be discolored. This may cause staining of laundry, but the water will be safe to drink.

Animal shelter

These animals were picked up July 23 at the locations listed and taken to the Salina Animal Shelter, 329 N. Second. Phone 826-6535.

DOGS -- Black male poodle, 800 block of Kenwood; brown and white female boxer, 900 block of Kirwin; black and tan male shepherd mix, 800 block of Merrilly Drive.

CATS -- Black female shorthair, two black and tan female shorthair kittens, and three black and tan male shorthair kittens, 100 block of North Eighth; white, orange, and black female shorthair kitten, 100 block of Florida.
