Girl escapes injury in crash

A 15-year-old girl escaped injury Wednesday evening when her car skidded on gravel and ended up in a deep ditch on South Hedville Road.

According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office, Paige Norwood, 7460 Rifle, was driving north in the 900 block of South Hedville about 6 p.m. when she swerved to avoid a dog, and her car skidded.

The car ended up in the west ditch, facing southeast and leaning against the edge of a concrete culvert. Norwood said she was wearing her seat belt at the time.
