Delores S. Evans

ABILENE -- Delores S. Evans, 73, died Friday, June 26, 2009. She was born Sept. 10, 1935, in Maitland, Fla., the daughter of Ira Seldon and Rose (Tuck) Smith. She grew to womanhood and spent most of her adult life in Florida. In 1989 she moved to Kansas to live with her son in Alta Vista, before moving to Abilene in 2001.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin J. Evans and Barry Evans, both from Florida; two daughters, Denise Hebert, of Maine, and Deanna Graham, of Florida; and an uncle, Henry W. Dike, of Florida.

Services and inurnment will be conducted in Florida at a later date. Danner Funeral Home, in Abilene, is in charge of local arrangements.
