K. Duane Embers Sr.

McPHERSON -- K. Duane Embers Sr., 87, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009. He was born Sept. 27, 1922, in rural McPherson, the son of Samuel M. and Esther E. (Eklund) Embers.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian, of the home; his children, Ken (Pat), of Manhattan, and Jan (Karyl) Decker, of McPherson; a sister, Dorothy Withiam; a brother, Robert (Dorothy); three granddaughters, Tami (Dan) Wilson, Nicole (John) Laine and Sheila Embers; and two great-granddaughters, Rylee Bachus and Madilyn Laine. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at First Baptist Church, McPherson. Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson, is handling arrangements.
