Marion Leslie Chopp

Marion Leslie Chopp, 79, of Salina, died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Kaye Pogue Hospice Center, Salina. She was born Feb. 8, 1930, in Concordia, the daughter of Leslie and Theresa McBratney. Marion enjoyed her childhood on the family farm near Belleville. She graduated from Belleville High School.

Marion married Delbert Chopp Sept. 5, 1948. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Norie Johnson; and a brother, William McBratney.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Yeager and Rebecca Chopp; a son, Tom Chopp; and a grandson, Nate Biddle.

Cremation was chosen and a private memorial service is planned. Memorials are to Kaye Pogue Hospice Center. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is in charge of arrangements.
