LAWRENCE -- Len E. "John" Bogart Jr., 82, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009. He was born April 11, 1927, in Abilene to Len Sr. and Emma Bogart. Survivors: wife, Edith; sons, Michael (Susan) and Jon "Jay" (Martha); three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, Abilene. Funeral: 10 a.m. today, Nov. 21, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lawrence. Graveside services: 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Prairie Mound Cemetery, Solomon. Memorials: Salvation Army or church building fund, in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Lawrence.
