Lynch Branstetter, 71, of Salina, died June 30, 2009. He was born Dec. 13, 1937, in Salina. He was a roofer. He then worked for Bosselmans for 17 years, retiring in 2006. He served in the Army from 1956 to 1961. He enjoyed woodworking and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore, and mother, Willie Opal Branstetter; a sister, Dorthy Ambuehl; and two brothers, Jackie Branstetter and Larry Branstetter.
ABILENE -- Dixie L. (Utley) Tower, age 71, died June 30, 2009, in Salina. Mrs. Tower was born Dixie Lee Utley on June 30, 1938, in Salina to Alvin L. and Elizabeth (Burton) Utley. She was a waitress for many years for La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant in Salina. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Alvin D. Robinson-1957; a daughter, Latina R. Tower-2008; two brothers, Larry and Gary Utley; and a sister, Sondra Tower.
WICHITA -- Urban, Arthur Leo, 73, retired Wescon Supervisor passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Sharrol; children, Steven and Cheri Urban, of Wichita, Kay and Randy Waite, of Wichita, Sandra and Ronnie Medina, of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Aimee, Casey, Cally, Cody, Jamie, Chad and Dillon; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah, Luke, Justin, Isaac, Lanie, Bailey and Ashlynn; sisters, Louella Miner, of McCook, Neb., Sylvia Dahle, of Des Moine, Iowa, Elaine Shearer, of Norton, and Alverna Jones, of Hays.
