Prairie View man injured in semi crash

PHILLIPSBURG -- A 70-year-old Prairie View man was injured Thursday when his semitrailer went into a ditch while traveling on a Phillips County road.

Stanley J. Kats was taken to Phillips County Hospital following the crash at 1:20 p.m., 11âÑ2 miles east of Prairieview on Mohawk, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report. A hospital spokeswoman said no information could be released on his condition.

Kats was traveling east on West Mohawk when his semi crossed the center line and entered the north ditch, coming to rest facing north in the ditch, according to the report.
