Courtland woman hurt in crash

An 81-year-old Courtland woman was taken to Republic County Hospital Monday after her car and a truck collided.
A hospital spokesman did not return a call seeking information about the condition of Jane Stenson.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Stenson was injured at 4:37 p.m. Monday when she failed to yield at a stop sign on Kansas Highway 199 at the intersection with U.S. Highway 36.
A truck driven by William Watkins, 59, of Cameron, Mo., struck the right front fender of Stenson’s car, the report said. Watkins, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured. Stenson was not wearing a seat belt, the report said.
