Two Salinans indicted on federal charges

Brandon David Swarts, 36, of Salina, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Topeka on one count of making counterfeit $50 and $100 bills and one count of possessing counterfeit bills.
The crimes are alleged to have occurred Dec. 5 in Saline County.
If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 on each count.
Also, Jonathan Brehon, 22, of Salina, was indicted on one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after felony conviction and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a user of controlled substances. The crimes are alleged to have occurred Dec. 27, 2008 in Saline County.
If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine up to $250,000 on each of the charges.
