Salina police arrested Jose L. Munoz Chihuahua, 19, of 838 E. Beloit, early Saturday morning after a short chase and a crash into a minivan and a house at 1661 Beverly.
Officers were alerted to a pickup truck driving too fast in northwest Salina. Deputy Salina Police Chief Carson Mansfield said they found a driver spinning the pickup’s tires. It accelerated and crashed at 2:30 a.m. into the minivan and house where Thomas L. Elder lives.
Chihuahua was booked into the Saline County Jail in connection with DUI, fleeing and eluding, open container, minor in possession and consumption of alcohol, reckless driving and driving with a suspended driver’s license, Mansfield said.
