The former manager of the north Salina Dairy Queen restaurant was arrested Tuesday, accused of stealing $7,500 from the restaurant by issuing unauthorized payroll checks to himself, a police department spokesman said.
Timothy J. Bailey, 47, of Bargersville, Ind., was arrested while he was in Salina on other business, said Lt. Scott Siemsen, criminal investigation commander with the Salina Police Department.
Bailey was arrested on a warrant alleging five counts of felony theft for checks written between March and July 2011 on the payroll for the restaurant at 321 N. Ninth, Siemsen said. Restaurant owner Robert Buster reported the loss to police in December, Siemsen said.
