Two teens dead after crash

HAYS -- Two teenagers were killed Friday night when the pickup truck they were riding in, which was driven by another teen, crashed.

Dead are Jordyn Claiborn, 16, of Hays, and Cody Younger, 16, of Munjor. Both were passengers in a 1991 Ford truck driven by Clayton Hoffman, 16, of Hays. The youths were headed east on Emmeram Road, seven miles north of Victoria and a couple miles east.

Clayton lost control of the truck, and it rolled, throwing Jordyn and Cody out. Neither was wearing a seat belt.

The accident, which happened around 11:30 p.m., is being investigated by the Ellis County Sheriff's Department.
