Solomon woman hurt in crash

Icy roads are being blamed for a one-vehicle wreck on Old Highway 40 Friday morning that injured a Solomon woman. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1998 Jeep Cherokee driven by Machelle Mann, 42, of Solomon, was westbound on Old 40 just east of Amos Road when the vehicle hit a patch of ice, went into the south ditch and rolled. Mann was taken to Salina Regional Health Center, where she was treated in the emergency department.
