SIMPSON — Cloud County Sheriff Brian Marks identified the woman who died Saturday in an apparent shooting in southwest Cloud County as Cheryl K. Rogers, 30.
In a news release read over the phone by a sheriff’s department spokeswoman, Marks wrote that deputies were sent to 236 Eagle Road Saturday after receiving a report of a possible gunshot.
They found Rogers injured. She was taken to Mitchell County Hospital, where she later died.
The sheriff’s department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are probing the shooting, the spokeswoman said, and there have been no arrests.
Marks was not available for comment.

sounds like an other cloud county murder that will never be solved. I have lived in Concordia since 1973, not one has been solved. And there has been at least 6 deaths.
