Semitrailer reported to be stolen

A semitrailer parked at Flying J Travel Plaza was reported stolen over the weekend.

The classic model blue Freightliner semitrailer with a 53-foot drop-deck trailer belonging to Shawn T. Stauffer was taken from the parking lot at 2250 N. Ohio between 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday, Salina Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield said.

The truck said "Stauffer Farms, Solomon, Kansas" in red lettering on the side.

Mansfield said an unknown white male had been seen earlier in the day attempting to get into a different semi parked on the lot.

Loss was estimated at $83,000.

semi-driver says....
I'm curious where you got the information for this article. Freightliner doesn't make semi-trailers. Freightliner makes trucks, not the little pickup type....BIG trucks! Semi TRUCKS pull semi-trailers....get it??
