BENNINGTON — Two Bennington women were injured Friday during a rollover south of Kansas Highway 18 in Ottawa County during a severe thunderstorm in the area.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Ricci L. Gutzman, 52, Bennington, was southbound on 170th Road just south of K-18 at about 8:30 p.m. when her vehicle left the west side of the road and rolled.

A passenger in the vehicle, Sally L. Gutzman, 46, was taken to Salina Regional Health Center. No report on her condition was available Saturday. Ricci Gutzman was treated for possible injuries at the scene, according to the report.

Neither woman was wearing a seat belt, the report said.

Thank you, Journal Insider. I do not take the print edition, nor do I subscribe to the on-line edition. I have to settle for what the powers that be decide to post for public viewing. Perhaps, in the future, the Journal could also add a little something to the on-line story to indicate that a mistake was made?

Um, I think you will find that Ricci Gutzman is a guy. And what the heck does the gas skip have to do with the Gutzmans wrecking during a storm?

Reference GAS caper at Ron's Station on North 9th. While there are "dangers" in doing what she did, I've done the same thing when I had stations leased in Wichita YEARS ago. I look at it this way: most crooks couldn't hit a cow in the ass with a scoop shovel, so when they are running - their accruacy is in question at best. NOW, if said crook(s) had in their possession a sub-machine that would be a different story! LOSS is loss no matter whether it is stolen off the shelf or out of the Cash Registar. It is the same thing. I would like to see - a law that would put the parents of these thugs in jail for 90-day to one year. That would sure SLOW down this foolishness!
