A Salina man with a long history of felony convictions was arrested Sunday, accused of raping a woman who is in her 90s in a Salina Regional Health Center hospital room.
Paul Henry Parker Jr., 46, Salina, was arrested by hospital security guards and then turned over to Salina police officers, Deputy Chief Carson Mansfield said.
Police allege the rape occurred about 8 p.m. Saturday, Mansfield said.
Mansfield said it appeared to be a random act that was discovered by nurses while they checked on a patient.
