Salina police are investigating the theft of parts from a woman’s car.
The woman loaned the car, a 1992 Cadillac DeVille, to her son, who then loaned the car to someone else, Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield said.
The woman became concerned when she couldn’t locate the car. She finally discovered that the car had been towed to an impound lot, Mansfield said. The victim, Natalie C. Meade, had the car towed to her home in Hedville. When it arrived, she discovered that at least $700 worth of parts were missing, Mansfield said.
The missing parts included a car stereo, speakers, the radiator, the exhaust manifold and the carburetor.
