OSBORNE — Rumors of possible violence at Osborne High School on Monday, the 10-year anniversary of the massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado, prompted authorities to take precautionary measures.
“At this time we don’t feel the rumors are credible,” Superintendent Keith Hall said Tuesday morning. “We took precautions. We had some rumors. We’re listening to our kids.”
He declined to elaborate on what measures have been taken so far.
A call to the Osborne police department Tuesday morning was answered by a clerk at city hall, who said everyone from the police department was at the school.
Osborne County Sheriff Curtis Miner said no arrests have been made. He said police officers were making their presence felt as a precaution, in part to address concerns of parents.

Not funny Grampa. Try explaining to your kids that is is okay to walk home from school that they are safe. We are not exempt from danger. March 25, 2008 told us that.

The call probably came from a little old lady who saw some kids plinking tin cans in their back yard with their BB guns. LOL
