Kansas State University and Northwest Kansas Technical College sign an agreement as academic partners

Goodland, Kansas, December 18, 2009 – Dr. Ed Mills, President of the Northwest Kansas Technical College and Dr. Kirk Schulz, President of Kansas State University signed an agreement recognizing Northwest Kansas Technical College as an Academic Partner College. This partnership allows the students of NWKTC who have earned their Associate of Applied Science degree to continue on at K-State University to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree.
“Having K-State University as an Academic Partner College is a great opportunity for the students of Northwest Kansas Technical College”, said Dr. Ed Mills. “President Schulz and his staff have been wonderful to work with us in articulating this agreement.” This agreement was made official on Wednesday, December 16 at the Kansas Board of Regents Meeting in Topeka with the signature of both college presidents.
Northwest Kansas Technical College is exploring new learning options and workforce development programs. NWKTC is also looking at ways they can assist our community and students by offering more on-line and evening classes beginning in January, 2010. The athletic season will kick off in the Fall of 2010 as well as the possibility of other new programs. The 2010 calendar is already filled with exciting happenings and events and NWKTC will continue to work on the development of collaborative agreements to benefit our students.
