K-State has new aircraft

1/7/2009

Kansas State University at Salina has a new twin-engine aircraft, thanks to a donation from a couple in Lyons. The Cessna 421B is a piston-driven aircraft, with a pressurized cabin, and will be used largely by the college’s aviation maintenance program as part of training for students majoring in airframe and powerplant mechanics. The aircraft was donated by Kenneth and Tamara Knight of Lyons. K-State at Salina has a fleet of 50 aircraft.
