La Crosse man dies after electrocution
HAYS -- A 52-year-old La Crosse man died of electrocution Monday at Hays Medical Center.
The Ellis County Sheriff's Office reported that a boom the man was using to unload fiberglass tanks in the 100 block of Vincent Avenue in Hays came in contact with an overhead power line, as the boom was being secured on the truck at approximately 11:30 a.m.
The man was taken to the hospital in Hays by the Ellis County EMS. His name was not released.
