12/2/2008

MANKATO — A Mankato man who purchased two $2 Bonus Crossword Kansas Lottery tickets Monday won not only a free ticket, but $20,000. William McMillan, who works for Sunflower Manufacturing in Beloit, usually buys a couple of the $2 tickets each day on his lunch hour, according to a press release from the Kansas Lottery. But Monday, he stopped at Mac’s Kwik Shop in Mankato after a meeting at his son’s school and bought his tickets. McMillan and his wife, Elesa, told lottery officials they hadn’t decided how to spend the money.
