Bids for highway construction accepted

Bids for highway construction accepted

Bids for state highway and construction maintenance projects for Ellsworth, Lincoln, Ottawa and Rooks counties have been accepted by the Kansas Department of Transportation. Bids were placed Aug. 19 in Topeka.

n Apac-Kansas, Shears Division, of Hutchinson, will seal 8.3 miles of Kansas Highway 232 from Old Highway 40 north to the Ellsworth-Lincoln county line, continuing north to the Lincoln-Russell county line. The bid was $287,739.

nBridge Inc., of Newton, will repair a bridge on Kansas Highway 106 in Ottawa County, two-tenths of a mile west of U.S. Highway 81. The bid: $298,633.

nVenture Corp., of Great Bend, will surface 2.6 miles along Rooks County Routes 916 and 1729, south of Woodston. The bid: $296,055.
