OAKLEY ­— Two semitrailer drivers were taken to Logan County Hospital after their trucks collided head-on Tuesday on U.S. Highway 83.
A hospital spokeswoman said no information could be released on the condition of Milby D. Winn, 47, of Midland, Texas, or Larry J. Mitchell, 57, of Tyler, Texas.
A Kansas Highway Patrol report listed Winn as injured and Mitchell as possibly injured after the crash at 11:23 a.m. nine miles south of the junction of U.S. 83 and U.S. Highway 40.
According to the report, Winn was driving north when his semi went left of center and struck Mitchell’s southbound semi. Both men were wearing seat belts, the report said.
