Teen taken to hospital after collision

CLAY CENTER — Kelsey L. Kahrs, 16, Clay Center was taken to the Clay Center Medical Center Friday after a collision five miles north of here.
She was driving a car eastbound at 8 p.m. on Kansas Highway 80, attempting a left turn onto Kansas Highway 15, when the car collided with a pickup truck that was southbound on K15, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The driver of the pickup, Alan E. Benninga, 39, of Clay Center, was not injured. A passenger in the car, Cynthia A. Kahrs, 52, of Clay Center, was not injured. All involved were wearing seat belts.
Kelsey Kahrs was not listed as a patient in the Clay Center hospital Saturday night.
