Colby college to offer four-day class week

COLBY -- Four-day class weeks begin this fall at Colby Community College.

Classes will meet on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, with all class periods being the same length, according to a release from the college.

CCC also will offer more evening and weekend classes and several classes that will meet only on Friday and/or Saturday, according to the release.

The shorter schedule enables students to work longer at their jobs or visit with faculty about their classes and increases flexibility for students who commute to the campus or work weekends. Faculty and staff will continue to work a traditional five-day week, according to the release.
