Trenton Taylor Hoft, 15, was taken to Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, and declared dead an hour after the crash. Also injured were the driver, Joshua Clay Crain, 16, of Phillipsburg; and Jillie Lynn Ganoung, 16, of Plainville.
None of the three were wearing seatbelts. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Crain was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger pickup west on County Road Y, about three miles west and one mile south of Plainville, around 2:10 p.m. The pickup went into a broadside skid, then rolled three or four times.
All three teens were thrown from the truck.

When will kids realize that driving fast on country roads is dangerous? And not to be buckled up is absolutely suicidal. Such a pity and a senseless waste of a bright, promising young life!
