Lindsborg grain elevator to expand

LINDSBORG — It’s essential that elevators keep pace with farmers at harvest time, as they’re getting in their bushels in the summer and fall, Dave Christiansen said. The president and chief executive officer of Moundridge-based Mid Kansas Cooperative Association announced Monday an estimated $3 million upgrade to its grain elevator in Lindsborg. Included in the project, which begins this month, are an addition of 636,000 bushels of grain storage space, high speed unloading equipment and a new scale and office.
