Painkillers taken from hospital

The Salina Police Department is looking into the loss of 37 doses of several different painkillers from Salina Regional Health Center between Oct. 15 and Oct. 21.
Various quantities of the synthetic opiate drugs Valium, Dilaudid, Activan, Demerol and morphine were taken from the hospital. The drugs were valued at $1,023, said Deputy Chief Carson Mansfield.
Mansfield would not comment on how the painkillers were taken. There have been no arrests, he said.
