A Salina electrician who was injured Tuesday when an electrical pole broke remains in critical condition today at Wesley Medical Center.
Anthony Bosco, 65, owner of Salina Electric, fell about 20 feet when the utility pole he was working on snapped shortly after 10 a.m., according to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
Bosco was on a ladder leaning against the pole. When he clipped the wires running to a house at 1293 N. Powers Road to disconnect power, the pole gave way. The pole was badly rotted where it broke.
According to the sheriff’s office, Bosco had two broken arms, a broken right femur and possibly a broken left leg.

Tony & his wife have been close friends of my parents since I was a toddler. He can come off as a little grumpy sometimes (but its usually just an act) cuz he is an awnry fart! Now that you know a little about him, PLEASE REMEMBER TO INCLUDE TONY AND HIS FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS. He has a very long road to recovery ahead of him and whether you know him or not, I ask for your prayers. Thank you
