THEFT FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE -- A car stereo, two oval rear dash speakers, a gold mother's ring with six birthstones, silver and turquoise earrings, a child booster seat, an ice scraper, three dash knobs, a window thermostat, two Bank of Tescott flashlights and the light bulb from the dome light belonging to Dianna L. Brunsell were reported stolen from her car while it was parked along eastbound Interstate Highway 70 near Milepost 244 between 6 p.m. Monday and 1:42 p.m. Tuesday; $937 loss and damage to passenger window.
BURGLARIES -- Damage to a window, safe handle and desks were reported Wenesday in the burglary of Dental Care of Salina, 700 S. Front, in which $380 in cash also was stolen; $1,105 loss.
n Damage to a glass door and cash register were reported Wednesday at El Tapatio, 671 S. Broadway. Stolen were $650 in cash, 20 bottles of Corona beer and coin-operated game; $4,040 loss.
THEFTS -- A Yamaha Raptor 350 motorcycle and a four foot by eight foot trailer belonging to Aaron Thrower were reported stolen Wednesday from 1000 N. 11th; $5,900 loss.
n A 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass belonging to James Workman was reported stolen Wednesday from 222 E. Diamond Drive; $1,500 loss.

Value of property was estimated at $10,000 and rent, interest and late fees owed totalled more than $99,700.
CIVIL FILINGS -- Jeremy A. Kinderknecht, doing business as Central Construction, seeks payment of more than $28,900 from Jaimie Nece for rehabilitation work done on a home at 1521 Arapahoe that was damaged by fire on Dec. 16, 2007. Nece countersues for more than $75,000, claiming substandard workmanship and damage to patio and garage door. Kinderknecht denies allegations.
nRichard D. Tyner seeks more than $75,000 from Jason P. Schneider for injuries suffered and medical expenses incurred as the result of a crash at Prescott and 12th streets on Jan. 27, 2007. Schneider denies negligence.
nNicole L. Merkle seeks more than $75,000 from My Le Dung for injuries suffered and medical expenses incurred as the result of a crash at Osage and Republic streets on Oct. 16, 2006. Dung denies fault.
nIndyMac seeks a mortgage foreclosure against Denise Anduze for property at 715 S. Santa Fe for a sum in excess of $70,000.
nGene P. Donley seeks payment of unemployment benefits after the Employment Security Board of Review determined he was not owed them when he left employment at Ted Augustine Furniture Warehouse in March 2008.
