GOODLAND — A Colorado woman was flown to a Denver hospital Monday after the sport utility vehicle she was driving rolled three times about five miles east of Goodland.
Rhonda K. Bates, 55, of Montrose, Colo., was driving west on Interstate Highway 70 when she fell asleep at 7:05 a.m., according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.
The sport utility vehicle went into the median, then crossed the highway, striking a sign post before rolling, the highway patrol report said.
Robert Bates, 29, of Fruita, Colo., a passenger, was treated at Goodland Regional Medical Center.
Both were wearing seat belts, the report said.
Rhonda Bates’ condition could not be confirmed this morning.
