Three hurt in crash near Colby

COLBY — Three Winona youths were injured in a crash Wednesday south of Colby on Kansas Highway 25.
A Ford Taurus driven by Rachael A. Smith, 17, Winona, was southbound 16 miles south of Colby on K-25 about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when it went into the west ditch and hit a culvert. The car became airborne and landed on its wheels on an access road, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.
Smith was injured, as were passengers Rebecca Smith, 16, and Heather Martin, 16, both of Winona.
Rachael Smith was taken to Logan County Hospital, where her condition is unknown. Rebecca Smith and Martin were taken to Citizens Medical Center in Colby, where both were reported in fair condition Thursday morning.
According to the report, a fourth passenger, Seth Smith, 12, Winona, might have been injured but was not taken to a hospital.
Rachael Smith and Martin were wearing seat belts, and Rebecca Smith was not, according to the report. It is unknown whether Seth Smith was wearing a seat belt.
