nSalina Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 901 Beatrice, will present a talk by the Rev. Thea Nietfeld of the church, entitled "Hope and Reality," at 10:15 a.m. Sunday.

In her presentation in conjunction with Martin Luther King Day, the Rev. Nietfeld will explore King's phrase, "the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice." Harp music for the service will be provided by RoJean Loucks.

A potluck lunch follows the service, and both the service and potluck are free and open to all.

nGrand Avenue United Methodist Church, North Eighth and West Grand, will play host to Crystal Creek, a men's gospel quartet, at 7 p.m. Sunday.

The concert is free, but an offering will be taken.

nThe Salina Christian Women's Club speaker Tuesday is Jody Drevets, of Wichita.

The club meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Salina Country Club.

Music will be supplied by Tanya Treloggen, of Salina.

Cost for lunch is $11. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 643-1944. Child care is provided with paid reservations.

The event is open to all women in Salina and the surrounding area.

n LINDSBORG -- Churchgoers are invited to Bethany College's Church Night on Jan. 24 in Hahn Gymnasium.

People who bring a worship service bulletin receive free admission to evening games. The event is open to all ages.

The Swedes play Friends University that night. Tipoff for the women's varsity game is 5 p.m. and the men's varsity follows.

The event features other entertainment, a giveaway at the door and a reception.

n MENTOR -- Mentor United Methodist Church youth group will have a chili feed from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 25.

The cost is by donation. Proceeds go to youth mission work. For more information, call (785) 667-4081.

n GOESSEL -- An Intro to the Pipe Organ meeting is 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church.

The program is aimed at encouraging piano students to consider organ lessons and build a supply of church organists.

There will be an introduction to the pipe organ by Bethany College's organ professor, Melody Steed, after which piano students will be invited to play on the pipe organ. Parents and interested adults are free to attend. Cookies and punch will be provided after the meeting.

n A live seminar via satellite, "Focus on Marriage," will be simulcast from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 28 at First Covenant Church, 2625 E. Magnolia.

The seminar is designed to help people see their marriages "through the eyes of God," according to a news release, resulting in "deepened feelings, improved communication and a dynamic change in day-to-day interactions."

The cost is $69 for couples and $40 for individuals. The rate for military persons is $29.50 a couple or $17.50 for individuals.
