Cancelled credit card used to make purchase
10/22/2008
A Salina man reported to police that a laptop computer he hadn’t ordered was delivered to his house shortly after a UPS delivery man he hadn’t called came to pick up a package.
Rodd C. Glavin, 706 Post Oak, looked at the packing slip on the $915 Hewlett Packard Pavilion laptop computer and discovered that his cancelled credit card had been used to make the purchase between 12:01 a.m. Oct. 15 and 3 p.m. Tuesday, said Salina Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield.
After Glavin shipped the computer back to Hewlett Packard, the UPS driver returned to his home again seeking to pick up a package, Mansfield said.
