Trip planned to Wichita theater

Salina Parks and Recreation 50 Plus Program is planning a trip to the Mosley Street Melodrama in Wichita on Saturday.

The charter bus will leave at 4:30 p.m. from the north end of the Bicentennial Center parking lot. A barbecue dinner will be provided before the show, which is "The Harlot Letter."

Parks and rec offers trip to see Royals

Salina Parks and Recreation is planning a Sept. 17 trip to Kansas City to see the Kansas City Royals take on the Cleveland Indians.

The day begins with a guided tour of the Boulevard Brewery near the Crossroads District, followed by a visit to the Jazz and Major League Baseball museum. A meal at Arthur Bryant's is planned before the game, which begins at 7:10 p.m.

The group will travel by charter bus with a group from Manhattan Parks and Recreation. The bus will leave at 10 a.m. from the parking lot of Kenwood Cove aquatic park.
