6/9/2009
A 75-year-old Burr Oak woman was taken to the Jewell County Hospital Monday after her car struck a piece of farm machinery being towed by a truck.
A hospital spokeswoman said she could not release any information about whether Wanda D. Howard was treated or her condition.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Howard’s car was traveling north on Kansas Highway 128, about two miles north of U.S. Highway 36, at 11:35 a.m. Monday when the crash occurred. Her car collided with irrigation equipment being hauled behind a truck driven by Ritchie L. Farrell, 52, of Concordia. Farrell was not injured.
