Prescription drugs, gun among items taken in burglary

Two kinds of prescription pain killers, along with a .22 caliber revolver and a safe, were reported stolen from a west Salina home Thursday.
According to Salina police Lt. Scott Siemsen, someone entered the home of Edgar Toothman, in the 900 block of Hancock Avenue, between 4:30 and 5 p.m. through an unlocked back door.
Taken were a safe, the handgun, eight boxes of Fentanyl pain patches and one bottle of an anti-anxiety drug. Loss was estimated at $1,100.
