GRAINFIELD — A 7-year-old Colby boy was killed Sunday when the car he was in overturned after it left the road on Interstate Highway 70 about five miles west of Grainfield. Tate D. Siruta died in the crash, which occurred at 11:57 p.m. Sunday. Melissa A. Siruta, 35, and Duskin L. Siruta, 42, were reported in good condition at Gove County Medical Center in Quinter today. No information could be released on the condition of Konnor E. Griffin, 8, Colby, who was also taken to the medical center after the crash. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol report, Melissa Siruta was driving the car west on I-70 when she lost control. The car went onto the inside shoulder. She over-corrected, and the car crossed both lanes and entered the ditch. The car overturned and came to rest on its wheels.
