Arrests made in Interstate shooting

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office has in custody three men believed to be responsible for the shooting of a Colorado family’s pickup truck as it traveled through Saline County early Saturday as well as a rural Minneapolis house.
Brian Enright, 18, of LeRoy; and Shane Patrick, 19, and Robert Feebeck, 20, both of Tescott, made first court appearances Tuesday morning and are being held on $20,000 bond, said Ottawa County Sheriff Keith Coleman.
The men face felony charges of criminal damage to property and criminal discharge of a weapon, and Coleman said he also expects them to be charged with attempted second-degree murder for firing two shots into an occupied house south of Minneapolis both Friday and Saturday nights.
Coleman said two people were inside Don Koster’s house when it was shot twice, once with an SKS assault rifle and once with a 9-millimeter handgun.
The men are also expected to face charges in Saline County in connection with the shooting of a Colorado family’s pickup truck at 4:45 a.m. Saturday as it was eastbound on Interstate Highway 70 near Reese Road, said Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski.
Kochanowski said he was pleased the suspects were found and said the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office did an outstanding job.
The bullet entered the top of the cab of the pickup driven by David Weaver, 29, of Hillside, Colo., and traveled along the roof before exiting out the back, causing the rear window to shatter. Weaver’s three daughters, Erika, 5; Amy, 3; and Kara, 1, and his wife, Suzanna, were asleep until the bullet hit and they were showered with glass.

to the person who made the comment about knowing one of these men personally and them having a small child-here is my question to you. If their small child was being used for target practice by a drunken moron, don't you think they would want that person in jail???? I know I would.

mediaman I find it very interesting that you seem to know so much more about this than anyone else. All everyone else knows is what has been reported by the police department. Yet you seem to know about other incidents that haven't been reported and these men aren't being charged with. Maybe you should go down and talk to the Ottawa county law and tell them what you know. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? You ppl are ready to lock them all up for life just because they are kids and they were arrested for this tragedy. It's already been reported that alcohol was a major factor during all of this. Nobody got hurt thank god and I know that dosen't excues what they did but let me ask you this. I personally know someone that had 7 DUI's in Shawnee county KS last year, he spent 6 months in jail on work release. Meaning he was picked up for work everyday and droped off at the jail after work everyday, plus he was allowed to spend 1 weekend a month at home because of his young children. He totaled out 4 of his own vehicles because of Drunk driving, nobody was hurt in that case either and he wasn't shoting a gun. My point is knowing what I told you do you think it fair that he has a drivers licence still even though he could have killed so many ppl with his reckless acts? I know for a fact that he ran down 5 mail boxes on his way home from the bar one night and was never charged. As someone pointed out the bond of only $20,000 that dose seem low considering what they are being charged with but knowing their ages it might as well have been $200,000 none of them have that kinda money. I know one of these men personally and he also has a young child.

Everyone wants to know - What were these guys thinking to endanger the lives of children? Did they think they were playing a video game? Or were they just stupid and drunk? They're lucky that nobody was seriously hurt or killed!

Ottawa County, THANK YOU! I would hate to think these idiots were still a threat on the loose. Don Koster is a nice guy, what is their reason for shooting into his house? That should merit more attempted murder charges.

What about the bullets that went through a house and missed the people by a few feet? Please report the rest of the story about these men shooting up houses as well. Please give the names so the people of Ottawa and the rest of Kansas know who they are.

These people had no regard for the safety and lives of others. Yes, everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and I for one would like to know what excuse the shooters have for what their actions could have done. The thought of having glass shatter upon little children is outragous!

What in the world is happening to our society - they should be charged with any count possible, put in prison for 20-30 years or longer - can't believe people would do such things, but I guess I was raised to treasure life and other people's property.
