NATOMA — A 31-year-old Victoria man, Justin Randall Loffredi, was killed in a crash early Friday morning when he missed a curve on a Russell County road. The pickup he was driving flipped onto its side and struck a tree, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The crash was discovered at 6 a.m. Friday by someone in the area on their way to work, said Master Trooper Jerrad Goheen, Osborne. He was called to the scene a few miles south of Natoma in extreme northwest Russell County at 6:24 a.m. Goheen estimated the crash occurred at 3 a.m.

Loffredi was northbound on County Road 657 and was going too fast to negotiate the curve, the trooper wrote in his report. Loffredi was not wearing a seat belt, Goheen said, but he was not ejected from the pickup.
