Shadwick to head Wesleyan's MBA program

Former Salina mayor Monte Shadwick has been appointed to head the masters in business administration program at Kansas Wesleyan University, according to a news release from the university.
Shadwick earned his MBA from Kansas State University in 1991 and his bachelor’s of arts in education from the University of Kansas in 1983. He was mayor of Salina in 2000 and 2005.
Shadwick was the district representative then congressman Jerry Moran, who’s now a U.S. senator. He’s also been a self-employed real estate broker and property owner, was director of development for Lighthouse Properties of Blue Beacon International, president of Chuck’s Inc., general manager of Shooter’s Bar & Grill, a securities broker and assistant trust officer at First National Bank of Salina, financial adviser with Waddell & Reed, and a teacher and coach at Goddard public schools and Salina Central High School.
