Gov. Mark Parkinson has appointed several north-central and northwest Kansas residents to boards and committees.
Larry Turnquist, of Salina, has been reappointed to the Employment Security Review Board. The board hears appeals of decisions on unemployment eligibility made by an unemployment insurance judge.
Dr. Marilyn J. Ray, of Hays, has been appointed to the Governor's Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board. Ray is a medical policy fellow at the Docking Institute of Public Affairs at Fort Hays State University, where she also serves as an adjunct faculty member. The Domestic violence board reviews all adult domestic violence-related fatalities.
