Salina man found guilty of murdering farmer

OSBORNE — A jury in Osborne County Tuesday found Kenneth Eugene Wilson, of Salina, guilty of murdering a farmer with the farmer’s own gun.
Wilson was found guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated burglary, burglary of a residence and felony possession of a firearm, according to a news release from the Attorney General’s Office. Attorney General Steve Six prosecuted the case.
Sentencing is set for 9:30 a.m. June 23.
Wilson burglarized the home of Jeffery Scott Noel, of Portis. He took Noel’s cell phone and $50 and fatally shot Noel, at close range, with Noel’s gun.
