Concordia sisters receive $2,500 grant

CONCORDIA -- The Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia have received a $2,500 grant from the Community Foundation of Cloud County to be used for the planned Neighbor to Neighbor Center.

The sisters purchased a building in late March and plan to gut it and construct offices. The center is expected to open late this year or early next year.

The center will provide services to women and young children, including nutrition and parenting classes, workshops on healthy living, personal counseling and information about help available through other agencies.
