New downtown business selling coffee beans
A new coffee shop in downtown Salina is giving people a variety of coffees to make at home.
Iron Street Roaster, 119 E. Iron, sells coffee beans to people who like to make their own coffee. The business, owned by Carla Mahon, opened in November.
Mahon said she sells seven flavors of coffee beans at the store and plans to expand as the business grows. Some of the flavors are her own creations.
"I started going to Kansas City a lot, saw a small roaster shop and thought it would be the way to go," Mahon said. "I like good coffee."
Iron Street Roaster is open from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
