Hoxie man hurt when semi overturns

HOXIE - A Hoxie man was injured when his semitrailer overturned Sunday 11 miles east of Hoxie.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Howard D. Heskett, 69, was transported to Sheridan County Health Complex after the crash at 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 110-E and U.S. Highway 24.
A hospital spokeswoman said Heskett was not at the hospital Monday evening, and she could not release further information.
The KHP report said a passenger in the semi, Colton H. Heskett, 11, Hoxie, was not injured. Neither person was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
