Dezago to run for Kansas Attorney General in 2010
JUNCTION CITY -- Ralph DeZago, a former assistant attorney general, announced his intention Thursday to seek the Republican nomination for Kansas Attorney General in 2010.
DeZago cites his legal experience as his primary qualification for the position. He served as chief public defender for the Eighth Judicial District for 16 years. His jurisdiction eventually expanded to include much of north-central Kansas, including Salina, Abilene, Junction City and Manhattan.
DeZago has a master's degree from Kansas State University and a law degree from the University of Kansas. He currently serves as the city prosecutor for Junction City and resides in Herington with his wife, Cathy.
